Fish Tail Router, 1/16 Inch

The carbide material handled a fiberglass panel I needed to modify without chipping the edges at all. I was impressed by how clean and smooth the flat-bottomed hole came out.

I used this to cut precise flat-bottom holes for some inlay work, and the carbide edge is still sharp after a dozen passes through hard maple. The 1/8 inch shank fit my router attachment perfectly.

The fish tail design really earns its name—I drilled a dozen flat-bottom holes in some oak and hard plastic without any burning or chatter. The 1/8 inch shank fits my Dremel attachment perfectly, and the carbide edge still looks fresh. This is my new go-to for clean, precise work.
