The precision-ground hardened steel made mounting this chuck onto my lathe feel solid and true, not wobbly like cheaper alternatives. It holds my smallest 1/32-inch drill bits securely without any slippage during use. Definitely a step up from the adapter I was using before.

That black oxide coating on the chuck key is a nice touch—it hasn't shown a speck of rust after a few weeks in my damp shop. The MT1 shank seated perfectly in my mini lathe's tailstock, and the grip on small bits is noticeably tighter than my old chuck.

Swapped out my old chuck for this MT1 and the difference is night and day—the black oxide key fits snugly and the heavy-duty bearings spin smooth as silk. Holds those tiny 1/32" bits without a hint of wobble, which is exactly what I needed for some delicate work.
