The black oxide finish really does the trick—no more shiny pinpricks ruining the scenery. I used about half the pack securing flex track down my mainline, and every single nail seated flush with no bending at all.

I needed something to hold down HO track that wouldn't look like shiny little eyesores, and these 1/2" nails with their black oxide finish blend right into the ballast. The 20-gauge wire frame is thin enough to drive through plastic ties without splitting them.

The black oxide finish is exactly what my layout needed—no more shiny nail heads catching the light like tiny mirrors. They’re 20 gauge, so they hold track firmly without splitting the ties, and 300 in a pack is plenty for a whole section.
