The carbide edge on this insert fit the end mill perfectly and took my aluminum cuts from rough to nearly finished in one pass. It’s held up through several dozen heavy cuts without chipping, which is a huge step up from the old HSS bits I was burning through.

I’ve been using this insert for a few weeks now, and it’s holding its edge remarkably well on aluminum. The sharpness right out of the pack gave me noticeably cleaner cuts than my old setup.

I was a bit skeptical about how well it would hold up on stainless, but the cutting edge stayed sharp through a whole project. The fit on my #84989 end mill was snug and effortless.
