Working with this low-melt alloy was surprisingly easy—the 280°F melting point let me use a simple torch without worrying about scorching my molds. Got clean, bubble-free casts on my second try after preheating the ingot a bit longer.

Was a bit nervous about casting my first pieces, but this alloy melts smooth and even with a small torch, no smoke either. The 7.5 oz block gave me enough for a couple of decent-sized molds, and cleanup was way easier than I expected.

I needed something with a lower melting point for a delicate repair, and this 280°F alloy worked perfectly with just a handheld torch. The bismuth-tin composition melts smoothly and fills my mold without the smoke or fuss of higher-temp metals. Got a solid, detailed casting on my first try.
