Fish Tail Router, 1/32 Inch

The fish-tail end cut a perfectly clean, flat-bottomed hole in some oak plywood with zero tear-out. I was really impressed by how smoothly the carbide bit sliced through the hard plastic test piece, too.

I was skeptical about the 1/8-inch shank at first, but it fits perfectly in my Dremel attachment and the carbide edge stayed sharp through a dozen test holes in oak. The fish tail design really does leave a clean, splinter-free bottom in hardwood.

The flat-bottom holes come out perfectly smooth on plywood, and the 1/8-inch shank fits my Dremel attachment without any wobble. I’ve used it on oak and fiberglass panels so far, and it still cuts clean after a few dozen passes.
