Description
Air Reefer White is the airbrush-optimized version of our classic Reefer White, offering a subtle, warm off-white tone with excellent flow and coverage straight from the bottle. Inspired by the color of historic “reefer” cars, it provides just enough softness to enhance depth in layered applications. Whether you're airbrushing railroad cars or fine details on figures and terrain, this shade ensures a realistic, low-glare result.

Modeling Use Cases

  • Railcars & Freight Equipment: Reefer bodies, herald panels, sidewalls
  • Structures: Farmhouses, depots, signs, picket fences
  • Miniatures: Linen cloaks, parchment scrolls, bone highlights
  • Dioramas: Snow patches, aged walls, faded signage
  • Pre-shading & Highlighting: Bright base layer for light or weathered finishes

Micro-Mark Acrylic Airbrush Thinner if needed for custom blending. Air Reefer White is available in the Airbrush Railroad Acrylic Paint Set.

Daniel P. ★★★★★

Sprayed this straight from the bottle with no thinning and it laid down smooth as glass at about 18 psi. The pre-thinned mix saved me a ton of fiddling, and that soft off-white is perfect for highlighting without washing out the panel lines.

Eli ★★★★★

The off-white tone is subtle enough that it doesn't glare under my work light, and it layers beautifully over light gray primer. Sprayed it at about 18 psi and got zero tip dry on a 0.3 nozzle.

George ★★★★★

No thinning needed at all, which saved me a ton of guesswork on my first airbrush project. The off-white tone is subtle enough that it layers nicely over light gray without turning chalky.
