I keep three different grits loaded on these wheels and switch between them in seconds instead of tearing off and re-sticking paper. The semi-rigid backing holds the disk flat on edges without flexing, which makes finishing trim work way less fiddly.

Having different grits loaded on separate wheels saves me so much time swapping discs mid-project. The semi-rigid material handles the flat surfaces on my current woodworking piece just right.
