The red finish on mine is a nice bonus, but the real win is how the roller tracks right behind the cutter and keeps thin stock from whipping away. It’s made parting-off way less stressful on my little lathe, and the bolt-on install took under ten minutes.

Bolted right onto my 7x16 mini lathe without any issues, and it's already saved a thin brass rod from chattering. The spring-loaded arm follows smoothly behind the cutter, keeping everything steady through the final pass.

I was a bit anxious about thin stock warping, but this follower rest keeps everything perfectly steady as the saw passes through. The way it bolts directly to the carriage was easier than I expected, and it’s clearly made to handle delicate work without any flex.
