The consistency of these paints straight out of the bottle is perfect for my airbrush—no thinning needed for a smooth, even coat on my HO-scale boxcars. I was also pleasantly surprised by how well they brush onto plastic details without leaving streaks.

I've been brushing these onto locomotive shells and the pigment goes down so smooth, no streaky patches like the craft acrylics I used before. Nine bottles covers pretty much every trackside color I need for scenery and rolling stock.

The airbrush flow on these is impressively smooth with almost no tip dry, which surprised me for a 9-piece set at this price. I used them on a weathered boxcar and a small diorama, and the coverage stayed even over both.
